Business listing information
We collect business names, locations, contacts, service descriptions, publicly available social links and Google rating summaries from business websites and public business records. We use them to publish this directory. Owners can request corrections or removal, and we check ownership before making owner-only changes. Public information can still be personal information, particularly for sole traders.
Enquiries and listing claims
Forms send the business and contact details you enter, your selected package and your message to the publisher for manual review. We use them to reply, check your connection to a business, correct listings and arrange advertising when requested. Cloudflare processes website requests and form delivery; email is forwarded to the publisher’s business mailbox. Messages are not automatically published or sold as leads. If you use a named contractor’s project enquiry form, the publisher shares the request with that business so it can respond.
Hosting, security and email
Cloudflare provides hosting, DNS, security and email routing. These services process technical information such as IP addresses, request times and browser information to deliver and protect the site. The publisher’s email provider processes correspondence after forwarding. Providers may process information outside your country under their own service terms. We do not include form contents in application logs or maintain a separate database of form submissions.
Cookies, search and external services
We do not add advertising trackers, account cookies or analytics scripts. Search runs in your browser. Cloudflare may use security cookies when needed to protect the site. Business websites and social links have their own policies. Google Maps embeds on upgraded profiles connect to Google; ordinary map links open Google only when followed.
Keeping and removing information
We keep correspondence while handling your request and any continuing business relationship, then review it for deletion when it is no longer needed. Advertising and payment records may need to be retained for accounting or dispute purposes. Hosting and email providers manage their own operational logs and backups. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information relating to you; some records may need to be retained where required by law.
Your choices
You can browse without submitting a form. Use the contact address to challenge a listing or ask about your information. Include enough detail to identify the record, but do not send sensitive identity documents. We do not use enquiry information for automated decisions about you.
