Before requesting epoxy flooring quotes in Horizon West
Horizon West's continuing development means a flooring inquiry may concern a newly poured garage or an already occupied home. Make that distinction early. A new slab needs its readiness established; an existing one may need old finishes removed. If cabinets or decorating are also planned, agree the order before each trade books its date.
Buying new does not mean coating immediately
Horizon West's growth brings a useful distinction to a flooring inquiry: are you updating an occupied home or planning work around a new build? For a freshly poured garage, ask the builder for the pour date and available slab information, then let the flooring contractor establish readiness. Concrete can look dry before it is suitable for the proposed coating. Booking between closing and moving day is convenient only if the floor passes the required checks. Keep a fallback place for boxes and furniture so the moving timetable does not decide when the coating goes down.
Get the order of work right
For a recently completed or newly purchased home, ask the contractor to inspect the slab rather than assuming it is ready because it looks clean. Have preparation, any existing treatments and visible repairs addressed in the quote. Tell the installer about other trades who will need access before the room is finished.
If you are adding cabinets, overhead racks or a workbench, share the layout and discuss fixings. Ask whether those items should be installed before or after coating and how the surface will be protected. Keep enough space for car doors and the everyday route into the house.
